I was very lucky this season to shoot several DIY weddings! They’re so unique and personal! Stacy & Steven are big into Japanese culture, so their reception reflected that from the lanterns hung in the tent to the Anime figures that represented Stacy & Steven for place settings! And what back yard wedding would be complete without catering by Dinosaur BBQ? None I say! It was devine!

The day was absolutely beautiful, the sun, location (s), and the wedding party & guests were totally rockin! It was such an eclectic mix that I couldn’t stop taking pictures! Thank you Stacy & Steven for allowing me to capture your wonderfully unique and personal wedding!

My friends are always so wonderful! They’re my best PR, they constantly check my website/facebook, and they book my for their stuff! I am SO blessed!

Libby & Kason are right up there with the cream of the crop! I’ve know Kason for awhile now, and he’s always made me blush when he talks about how he loves my photography! So when he and Libby got engaged, I was his first choice for photographers! (Awww! I know! I get all ooey gooey inside! My friend ROCK!)

So not only are Libby and Kason an AMAZING couple (Libby has eyes and a smile like WOAH and Kason is an extremely talented musician…and handsom to boot!), but they’re flying me down to New Orleans to shoot their wedding next summer! CREOL FOOD HERE I COME! YUM YUM YUM!!!!! I can’t even express how excited I am!! (for the wedding AND the food!)  I get giddy every time I think about it!

Back the the You + Me session…Right…

Libby, Kason and I pretty much had a spectacular time playing on playgrounds, chasing storm clouds, and dodging cars! I know I took pictures that day….but really I was just hanging out with 2 wonderful friends and THAT’S what I love the most!

The temperature was hot, the sky was crystal clear, and the couple was ridiculously stunning! Laura and Peter were an absolute dream to photograph!

When I arrived at Bristol Harbour, I greeted Laura in her hotel room where her sister and mother were busy helping her with hair and make up. Laura and her family are seriously talented and crafty! Every detail from the hand made bouquets to the gorgeously decorated reception, was envisioned & created by Laura. She and her family poured themselves into this DIY wedding! I couldn’t help but drool over everything I saw! (Sorry if I made things a lil’ soggy ;-P)

I met Peter and his brothers out in the reception (porch?) area where they quickly became some of my favorite groomsmen! Talk about a good lookin’ family! Plus accents to boot! Peter’s family came all the way from Ireland to celebrate!

Their ceremony was heartfelt, honest, and full of the love and wonder of God. I was so blessed to be able to capture everything, from Laura’s sweet expressions to the grander of God’s nature displayed for everyone to see!

Thank you Laura & Peter for allowing me to be the one to tell your story through my photographs and for being so adventurous! I absolutely adored being part of your day!

The speeches were so phenomenal, one person after the other got up to talk about how wonderful Laura & Peter were. The room was just over flowing with love!

We waited until the end of the day to do most of the formals. The light was PERFECT! First look at how drop dead gorgeous Laura is and THEN look at how buttery soft that light is! This is when my game is ON! I could’ve kept taking pictures forever!

“Would you guys mind sitting in the field?” “NOPE!” They flopped right down into the flowers, exhausted from their exciting day! I LOVE THEM!
