I remember when she made the decision to leave Syraucse, NY and go to school in Binghamton. She was determined to only be there a semester or two before she planned on moving to Italy to study art. We were all sad to see her go, but Bingtown was only an hour away. Little did we know that her decision would absolutely transform her life. With in a month or two of moving she met her future husband who is the perfect fit. He encouraged her to take up photography and start her own business! Fast forward about a year and a half later, she’s got a banging wedding portfolio and was my driving buddy for the move to North Carolina! It’s so amazing how quickly things can change.

Emily is thriving in her new life! She confided in me that due to the craziness on her wedding day that she didn’t get to spend the time she wanted on photos. So in celebration, we opted to do a Rock the Dress shoot here at my new home. I love spending time with Em, we’re definitely birds of a feather, and her session was an absolute riot!

Her story is mirrored in my own. Things can change quickly, but change shouldn’t be feared. It should be looked upon as a new adventure full of fantastic surprises!

Well, to answer your questions:

You’re moving?!  - Yes!

Where? – Greensboro, North Carolina!

Why? – For several reasons, but the biggest is that I have a great opportunity to help some friends in that area as well as expand my business!

When? – Currently there is no set date, but my aim is for February 2013

How? – Preferably by my car…walking would take me awhile.

Ok, ok so yes, I am moving and It’s come about rather quickly and not without some serious prayer and consideration. I can tell you that it’s been interesting trying to finish up wedding season and trying to plan a move at the same time…Can we say mental break down? uhhhg!

Here are some more answers to questions you may have:

What does this mean for your 2013 weddings? – The weddings that I have currently on the books I will be holding to. I  plan on coming back up to NY in June and staying through the majority of my wedding season.

Are you still booking in NY? – I am currently booking here in NY, but only through certain dates. If you have a wedding date from June 2013 through September 2013 I will be here in the area.

What if I’m getting married in 2014? – Do not fret! My goal is to keep a presence here in NY, that means I will need to shoot at least 3-5 weddings a year here in the CNY area. So please inquire!

What about your Lifestyle clients? – Any current clients that have scheduled shoots I will be holding to or rescheduling.

Are you still booking Lifestyle clients? – Yes, if we can arrange the shoot for the times I will be in NY then I have no problem booking.

How often do you plan on being in NY? – Other than the upcoming wedding season I have no set dates for when I will return to NY. Although ,my family and friends are in the CNY area and I plan on visiting them for most major holidays. Otherwise I will be posting both here on my website as well as on my Facebook fanpage any dates I plan on returning and will be available to shoot.

What about Travel fee’s? – Currently there will be no additional travel fee’s – although this could change

I am so so so SO SOSOSSOSOSOSOSOSO thankful to my family, friends, NY clients, and fan base! You have been a constant encouragement and literally the loves of my life! My experiences here in NY can never be replaced and I will hold you all very near and dear to my heart! I hope to continue staying in contact with you all, even if it’s vicariously through Facebook! To say that I will miss NY can’t even begin to accurately describe how I will long to see you all, take pictures of your smiling faces, and laugh, laugh, laugh at some many wondrous things. As this chapter closes I am looking to the next one with just as much excitement as fear. There are so many new adventures to be had and I hope that you’ll all still take part in them, even if it’s just here on the blog. Thank you again for everything my friends. I love you!

On the day of their wedding we took most of our formals at the Belhurst Manor, but not at the Castle itself. So they opted to head back there, especially for the train tracks!

After a bit we let Brian go back to the air conditioned car and Kate & I continued to rock it out! I think she’s the reason it was so hot out side! ;o)
