Ashley & Steven’s You + Me

It’s not every day you get to shoot an engagement session + an actual proposal! Talk about an awesome way to pop the question! When Ashley contacted me about doing a You + Me session she and Steven weren’t even engaged yet. She knew it was coming and that their wedding would be in Virginia. She loved my work so much that she scheduled a You + Me session before it was even official! This is why I love my clients!

We started up at Syracuse University and had a great time touring the campus, since Steven had never been. We then ventured down to Franklin Square to do part 2 of the session. Just as I’m positioning Ashley for the next shot, I see Steven get down on one knee and pull out a tiny box! I bring my camera up just in time for Ashley to turn around and get the official question! Ah! I was so excited to have captured it all right then and there! Now they’ll have those moments forever to cherish! I tell you there’s never a dull moment in this job! Thank you so much Ashley & Steven for choosing me to capture the beginning of your love story!

I knew he was going to ask my dad’s permission at breakfast the next morning in person while in Syracuse. I knew he’d never ask without asking permission first… Little did I know my parents were in on it and had already given their blessing!” – Ashley
