Desserts, dance offs, & delicious loooooove! That’s what Yolanda & Arel’s You + Me session consisted of. We and I had a great time developing their romantic theme! We decided upon a lakeside picnic at Green Lakes, where they drank hot chocolate, snuggled, and were ridiculously adorable! Yolanda and Arel compliment each other so well! They are both so energetic, kind, and down right goofy! Completely my kind of people! We ended up shooting…and shooting…and shooting…mainly because I just couldn’t stop! I mean really, look at this couple!? I’d shoot with them all day every day! Luckily their wedding is less than a month away, hooray! I get to spend a whole day documenting their sweeter than chocolate kind of love!

    Congratulations! The pictures look great.

Hi Everyone! We’re officially one week away from Christmas Eve! I’m so excited! If you’re like me, then you love throwing little get togethers for family & friends. Though I’m not throwing a Christmas party this year, I am throwing a New Years Eve party so I’ve been scouring the web for inspiration! So I wanted to give you all some easy access to an AMAZING inspiration shoot at the Lincklaen House with Kate Brown of Lovewell Celebration Design and the always wonderful ladies of The Desserted Attic Vintage Rentals!

I gotta tell you the resources and talent these ladies have is beyond comprehension! Kate’s eye for detail and Tara & Erica’s fantastic taste goes hand in hand together. You’d think they have the same brain! I was in awe watching everything come together so perfectly! The best part is, it’s completely doable at home! Most of the details Katie and the Deserted Attic girls had laying around their homes. The table runner? Just fabric from a store, the lanterns? Pick them up at Hobby Lobby, the delicious looking desserts? An easy DIY recipe! I hope this gives you the gumption to try something a little extra special for your holiday party this year. I know I’ve gleaned a ton from Kate and her intuitive eye for design and Tara and Erica just have exquisit pieces at your disposal. Thanks girlies for being such a blessing!

Every You + Me session is so different, as you can plainly see. I like to tailor my sessions to the couple, their peronality, and any extra things that they love. What made Sheila & Jake’s session so different? Besides the fact that they’re amazing and have an adorable dog, Roo,  is that they’re already married! That’s right folks, You + Me sessions aren’t just for the engaged! Now available for married couples as well!  ;-) Woohoo! Book your anniversary You + Me Session today! ;-) Ok enough of the cheap ploy….lets get onto the good stuff!

Sheila and Jake travel around the country every few months due to Jake’s job. So, for an ingenious and extremely fun way to keep family updated, they do a new photo session every year for Christmas cards and such! What a great gift for family as well as themselves! We had a great time together at the Jamesville cement factory! We played in abandoned buildings, in sun touched fields, and PAINT! Yes PAINT! Sheila had the great idea of a paint war between the two of them! Seriously…MY CLIENTS ARE AWESOME!!! AHHHH!!! So much fun! Roo thought so too! All in all it was a fantastic day!
